RESEARCHER DISCOVERED A NEW LOCK SCREEN BYPASS BUG FOR ANDROID 14 AND 13

For Android 14 and 13, security researcher Jose Rodriguez (@VBarraquito) has found a new way to circumvent the lock screen. A threat actor can access contacts, browser history, images, and more if they have physical access to a device.


The researcher asked whether it was feasible to access a Google Maps link from the lock screen a few months ago on a number of networks, including Twitter, Reddit, and Telegram, because he was unable to do so while his Pixel was locked. Rodriguez stated that Google has been aware of the problem for at least six months and has not yet resolved it, and that he recently found a way to get around the lock screen.
