Apple Fixes Exploited Zero-Day With iOS 16.1 Patch

A significant iOS update from Apple was released on Monday, fixing at least 20 known security flaws, including one in the kernel that is already being actively used in the wild. The Cupertino device manufacturer acknowledged the CVE-2022-42827 vulnerability’s active exploitation and cautioned in a brief advisory that it leaves iPhones and iPads vulnerable to arbitrary code execution threats.

Apple, as usual, did not give information on the active exploitation, indicators of breach, or any other data to assist iOS users in looking for infections. Read More…
