Botnet on the lookout for Microsoft Exchange servers that have not been patched

Cyber criminals are attempting to add to their botnet by exploiting vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange servers to mine cryptocurrency, but the level of access they’re gaining means they could use it for other, far more dangerous cyberattacks.
The Prometei botnet is a widespread global campaign that is targeting organisations in a multi-stage attack, according to cybersecurity researchers at Cybereason.
