CVEs expected to rise in 2023, as organizations still struggle to patch

According to a survey issued on Wednesday by insurance provider Coalition, there will be an average of more than 1,900 common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs) every month, making the already serious threat posed by defective software much worse. 155 critical and 270 high-severity vulnerabilities, which frequently let attackers to remotely take control of computer systems, will be included in the monthly total. The paper provides insight into how vulnerabilities expose enterprises to cutting-edge attacks. The December 2021 vulnerability disclosure for Log4j showed how even the most sophisticated computer systems may be vulnerable to assaults by adversaries attempting to exploit weak applications, including criminals and nation-states.
