The frequency of Chrome vulnerabilities used in malicious attacks has grown in recent years, and Google believes that various factors have contributed to this trend.

According to statistics from Google’s Project Zero research unit, which tracks zero-day exploits, Chrome is targeted significantly more frequently than Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.
