Google Chrome emergency update fixes 6th zero-day exploited in 2023

In order to combat continuous attacks, Google has published an emergency security update today that addresses the sixth Chrome zero-day vulnerability of the year.In a fresh security advisory released today, the business recognized the existence of an exploit for the security weakness (listed as CVE-2023-6345).



“Google is aware that an exploit for CVE-2023-6345 exists in the wild,” it stated. Patched versions of the Stable Desktop channel have been made available to Windows users (119.0.6045.199/.200) as well as Mac and Linux users (119.0.6045.199), addressing the issue. BleepingComputer checked for updates earlier today, and the security upgrade was available right away, despite the advisory’s caveat that it might take days or weeks to reach all users.
