Google pushes emergency Chrome update to fix 8th zero-day in 2022

The seventh zero-day vulnerability exploited in assaults this year has been fixed by Google in an emergency security upgrade for the desktop version of the Chrome web browser. The heap buffer overflow vulnerability, which has been assigned the high severity code CVE-2022-4135, was found by Clement Lecigne of Google’s Threat Analysis Group on November 22, 2022.

Google has withheld information about the issue to stop its malicious exploitation from spreading since users need time to apply the security update to their Chrome systems.
