Govt of India issues advisory against potential phishing attacks in wake of LastPass data breach

According to a recent statement from password management provider LastPass, customer data was copied by hackers who illegally gained access to the company’s cloud storage environment in August 2022. It decreases the use of passwords online by storing them in a single app.

Following this data breach, the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) sent a warning. It alerted Indian consumers to the risk that fraudsters’ phishing attacks would compromise their accounts.
