Increased spending doesn’t translate to improved cybersecurity posture

Over 400 cybersecurity decision-makers and practitioners from the US and the UK participated in the survey, and the results showed that nearly one-third of them are concerned about a lack of security expertise and a lack of funding for security training, and more than one-quarter are concerned about a lack of security team members and a lack of overall security funding.

Millions of open posts in the field of cybersecurity are predicted to go vacant in the near future due to a skills gap. Enterprises in the technology and cyber sectors have also been compelled to make large reductions in staff and layoffs in 2023.
