macOS 14 Sonoma Patches 60 Vulnerabilities

Apple revealed the arrival of macOS 14 Sonoma on Tuesday. According to a security advisory released by the tech giant, the most recent operating system version contains updates for more than 60 vulnerabilities. A majority of these vulnerabilities necessitate the existence of a malicious program on the targeted device, while others can be exploited remotely by tricking the targeted user into visiting a specially constructed website.



The flaws allow for the acquisition of potentially sensitive information, the execution of arbitrary code with elevated privileges, the escape from the sandbox, the reading of arbitrary files, the invocation of arbitrary code with elevated privileges, the escalation of privileges, the circumvention of security measures, the deletion of files, the modification of protected file system components, and the use of UI spoofing.
