The US government forbade American companies from supplying software and technology to the Chinese company in 2019, so Huawei’s smartphones and other gadgets no longer run Android. It explains why the business has a bug bounty programme that offers significant compensation for finding exploit chains and serious vulnerabilities.

Later that year, Huawei announced its new HarmonyOS operating system, which is compatible with a variety of devices, including phones, tablets, smart TVs, wearables, and automobile infotainment systems. Huawei is conscious of the fact that its operating system must be secure in order to compete with iOS and Android.
