NIST Acknowledges First Four Quantum-Resistant Encryption Tools

The first suite of encryption tools to ever be chosen by the National Institute of Standards and Technology of the US Department of Commerce is capable of withstanding a quantum computer attack.

According to reports, the NIST post-quantum cryptographic standard, which is expected to be completed in around two years, will now include the four chosen encryption algorithms. Furthermore, NIST has chosen the CRYSTALS-Kyber algorithm for use in general encryption. Read More…
