No evidence’ of foreign election interference in 2022 US midterms, spy agencies say

The U.S. intelligence community stated on Monday that although Russia and China made an effort to sway the results of the 2022 midterm elections, they were unable to breach the nation’s election infrastructure or cause any other kind of voting disruption. But the extensively censored assessment, prepared in December of last year, offers few specific instances of Beijing and Moscow aggressively pursuing particular goals.



“There is no proof that any identified conduct hindered the voting process, altered votes, or interfered with the timely tabulation of votes or transmission of election results; modified any technical facet of the voting procedure; or jeopardized the accuracy of voter registration data or any votes cast in the federal elections of 2022,” the declassified report stated.
