NSA shares guidance on how to secure your home network

The US National Security Agency (NSA) has published guidelines to assist remote employees in protecting their devices against assaults and securing their home networks. Also, remote employees are encouraged to periodically backup their data to prevent data loss and to unplug any equipment they aren’t using if it doesn’t need an ongoing Internet connection.

Among the lengthy list of suggestions in the guidance released by the intelligence branch of the Defense Department on Wednesday is a brief summary advising teleworkers to make sure their hardware and software are current.
