Palo Alto Networks Patches Vulnerabilities Allowing Firewall Disruption

Palo Alto Networks released updates for its PAN-OS operating system to patch several high-severity vulnerabilities, including ones enabling denial-of-service (DoS) attacks against its firewalls. These flaws, such as CVE-2024-3385 and CVE-2024-3384, allow remote attackers to cause firewalls to reboot using specially crafted packets, potentially disrupting network traffic. While the company is not aware of any malicious exploits, it has addressed these issues to prevent potential security risks for its customers.
