Researchers Discover Nearly 3200 Mobile Apps Leaking Twitter API Keys

3,207 mobile apps have been identified by researchers as exposing Twitter API keys in the open, some of which can be used to obtain illegal access to the Twitter accounts connected to them.

According to a study given exclusively with The Hacker News by Singaporean cybersecurity company CloudSEK, the takeover was made feasible by the disclosure of legitimate Consumer Key and Consumer Secret information, respectively. Read More…
