Google’s red team, which specialises in artificial intelligence systems, published a study outlining common attack types and the lessons learnt. A few weeks before Secure AI Framework, which promises to offer a security framework for the development, use, and protection of AI systems, was released, the company revealed the founding of its AI Red Team.

Google’s most recent study underlines the importance of utilising red teams to test AI systems, the types of attacks that red teams might imitate, and lessons for other firms that might want to put up their own team. “The AI Red Team is closely related to classic red teams, but it also has the necessary expertise in AI to carry out advanced technical attacks.
