The DarkGate Menace Tracing the Vietnamese Connection

“DarkGate malware infection attempts have increased, mostly targeting WithSecure’s Managed Detection and Response customers in the US, UK, and India, according to a new research by the company. Two significant discoveries emerged after more research: a link to Vietnam and a complex network of linked malware assaults. According to a number of investigations, these efforts were mostly motivated by Vietnamese threat actors. Malware-as-a-Service (MaaS) has been found to be used by several Vietnamese threat organisations to launch info-stealer campaigns that target particular industries or demographics.
