Vendors Training AI With Customer Data Is an Enterprise Risk


Recently, Zoom came under fire for intending to build its machine learning algorithms using client data. However, the company offering video conferencing services is not the first and won’t be the last to have similar aspirations. Zoom modified its terms of service early this year to grant itself the ability to use at least some consumer content to train their AI and machine learning models.

Early in August, the business reversed course after receiving complaints from certain clients who were uncomfortable with their audio, video, chat, and other interactions being used in this manner.
