WhiteSnake Promotes Windows and Linux Variants with a MaaS Model

A new campaign that distributes a remote access virus called Parallax RAT targets cryptocurrency businesses. Attackers can remotely access target computers thanks to the Parallax RAT. It has tools for uploading and downloading files, recording keystrokes, and taking screenshots of the screen.

In a recent analysis, Uptycs stated that the malware “uses injection techniques to lurk within normal processes, making it difficult to detect. Once it has been effectively injected, attackers can communicate with their target through Windows Notepad, which probably acts as a communication channel.
