Attackers are developing and deploying exploits faster than ever

Even if there was a decrease in the widespread exploitation of new vulnerabilities in 2022, the risk persisted due to the threat posed by broad and opportunistic assaults, according to Rapid7.
Attackers are creating and using exploits more quickly than before. Within seven days of their public publication, 56% of the vulnerabilities were exploited, an increase of 87% and 12% from 2020 and 2021, respectively. The median time to exploitation in 2022 was only one day.
