On May 27, Chinese public security authorities in Guangzhou attributed a cyberattack on an unnamed technology company to the Taiwanese government. According to an official statement, the attack was allegedly carried out by a foreign hacking group supported by Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). The accusation stems from an initial investigation conducted by police in Guangdong province. The Mainland Affairs Council in Taiwan has not yet responded to the allegations. This development adds to the growing cybersecurity and political tensions between China and Taiwan.
