CISA issues DDoS warning after attacks hit multiple US orgs

30-Jun-23

Following attacks on American businesses in a variety of sectors of the economy, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a warning today about continued distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Internet service providers (ISPs) can also offer advice on the right actions to take in such situations as an alternative.

All American organisations were urged to take proactive steps to get their security teams ready to stop or lessen the effects of such assaults. To stop attackers from shutting down certain internet portals or services, network managers, for instance, should be prepared to immediately apply firewall rules or divert incoming malicious traffic through DoS security services.
