Critical Baicells Device Vulnerability Can Expose Telecoms Networks to Snooping

According to a researcher, a serious vulnerability affecting wireless communication base stations from Baicells Technologies may be used to interrupt telecom networks or seize total control of data and voice traffic. A US-based manufacturer of 4G and 5G telecommunications equipment, Baicells Technologies. According to the firm, more than 100,000 of its base stations have been installed in 64 different nations worldwide. At least some of Baicells’ Nova base station products are vulnerable to a serious command injection flaw, according to cyberattack researcher Rustam Amin. The flaw may be remotely exploited without authentication by sending specially crafted HTTP queries to the targeted device.
