Versa Networks is a 12-year-old secure access service edge (SASE) provider, which has enjoyed a good deal of funding and positive press in recent years. As a vendor for major organizations, however, it has also attracted the attention of high-level threat actors. Last year, for example, China's Volt Typhoon exploited a vulnerability in Versa Director, the centralized management platform for its software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) and network security tools.
