Disney ditching Slack after massive July data breach


Disney is reportedly moving away from Slack after a significant data breach in July 2024, where a hacker group named 'NullBulge' stole 1.1TB of sensitive data from around 10,000 Slack channels. This data included project details, financial and IT information, and other confidential files. The company has already begun transitioning to new enterprise collaboration tools, aiming to complete the migration by the end of the fiscal quarter. This decision follows another earlier breach in June, raising concerns about communication platform security in corporate environments. It's still unclear which platform Disney will adopt next.
