Cybersecurity researchers have identified a critical unpatched vulnerability in Nice Linear eMerge E3 access control systems, labeled CVE-2024-9441, with a CVSS score of 9.8. The flaw allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands. Despite the high risk and the availability of proof-of-concept exploits, the vendor has yet to release a fix or workaround. Experts advise organizations using affected versions to isolate or take these devices offline and follow best practices such as network segmentation and firewall protection to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
