Intel Adds New Circuit to Chips to Ward Off Motherboard Exploits

When an attacker uses motherboard flaws to steal data from a computer, Intel has created a circuit and built it into its most recent series of computer chips.

According to Intel during Black Hat, the “tunable replica circuit” on the most recent Intel chips may identify efforts to bug computers using voltage, clock, or electromagnetic methods. These methods are used by attackers to install their own firmware and take over the target device. Read More…
