Since the launch of Operation Rising Lion, Israel has faced a dramatic surge in cyber attacks, with a reported 700% increase in malicious activity within just two days. Cybersecurity firms revealed that over 2,000 threatening emails have been sent to Israeli institutions, including healthcare centers, universities, and municipal bodies. These attacks—believed to be led by Iranian and pro-Iranian hacker groups—include DDoS attempts, malware distribution, phishing, and psychological operations. Fraudulent alerts mimicking IDF warnings were also circulated to spread fear among civilians. Israeli authorities confirmed the messages lacked harmful links and have urged the public to ignore such communications and report suspicious activity.
