LockBit Leaks 1.5TB of Data Stolen From Indonesias BSI Bank

After unsuccessful ransom negotiations, the LockBit ransomware organisation released 1.5 gigabytes of allegedly stolen financial and personal data from Bank Syariah Indonesia on Tuesday. According to the group, the files contain the personal and financial details of around 15 million clients and staff members of the biggest Islamic bank in the nation.

Three more nationalised banks were combined to become the state-owned bank in 2021. In order to serve its roughly 18 million consumers, BSI has more than 1,100 branches. The nations central bank, Bank Indonesia, announced on Thursday that BSIs real-time gross settlement, national clearing system, and Bank Indonesia Fast Payment services have been restored under its watch.
