Samsung Galaxy gets new Auto Blocker anti-malware feature


A new security feature named ‘Auto Blocker’ has been introduced by Samsung as part of the One UI 6 upgrade, which provides improved protection against malware on Galaxy smartphones.An optional security feature called Auto Blocker stops dangerous programs (APKs) from being side-loaded that are downloaded from sources other than Google Play and the Galaxy Store.

This is a preventative precaution against social engineering scams that trick users into downloading and installing APKs that contain malware or spyware.x000D Auto Blocker is not turned on by default, thus users that need to install APKs from unauthorized sources can still do so.
