Administrator of Darkode Hacking Forum Sentenced to Prison

A guy who acknowledged being an administrator of the now-defunct Darkode cybercrime forum received a prison term, the US Justice Department said on Wednesday. Due to his involvement in the operation of Darkode, 30-year-old Thomas Kennedy McCormick, also known as “Fubar,” from Cambridge, Massachusetts, was given an 18-month prison sentence. Three years of supervised release are also a part of the sentence.



McCormick became one of several administrators after becoming a member of the website in 2009. He was reportedly one of the final administrators of Darkode before law authorities closed the criminal forum in 2015. As a result of the law enforcement operation, seventy people were charged, searched, or placed under custody.
