D-Link fixes auth bypass and RCE flaws in D-View 8 software

In order to prevent remote attackers from bypassing authentication and running arbitrary code, D-Link has patched two critical-severity flaws in its D-View 8 network management software. In order to monitor performance, manage device configurations, create network maps, and generally make network management and administration more effective and time-saving, businesses of all sizes use the network management suite D-View, which was created by the Taiwanese networking solutions provider D-Link.

Late last year, security researchers taking part in Trend Micro’s Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) found six vulnerabilities affecting D-View, which they disclosed to the vendor on December 23, 2022. In order to prevent remote attackers from bypassing authentication and running arbitrary code, D-Link has patched two critical-severity flaws in its D-View 8 network management software.
