Experts Uncover 85 Apps with 13 Million Downloads Involved in Ad Fraud Scheme

In an ongoing effort that started in 2019, as many as 75 apps on Google Play and 10 on the Apple App Store have been found to be involved in ad fraud.

The most recent attack wave, code-named Scylla by online fraud-prevention company HUMAN Security, follows similar attack waves that occurred in August 2019 and late 2020 and are known, respectively, as Poseidon and Charybdis.
