WordPress project WPHash harvests 75 million hashes for detecting vulnerable plugins

WordPress plugins can be identified using a fingerprinting tool developed as an open source project to assist security researchers. WPHash is a free web tool that aids security experts in determining installed plugins’ status as security vulnerabilities while it is still in beta testing.

To this goal, it indexes 75 million SHA256 hashes for WordPress plugins, representing the great majority of those offered on the WordPress marketplace together with their various versions. Read More…
