Dutch Services Disrupted by DDoS Attacks From Russian-Affiliated Hacktivists


A wave of coordinated Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks has disrupted multiple Dutch public and private sector organizations this week. The attacks, attributed to pro-Russian hacktivist group NoName057(16), are part of a broader campaign affecting several European entities. These DDoS incidents have caused significant service outages, preventing user access to critical online services. While no data breaches have been reported, the attacks highlight the growing threat of ideologically driven cyber disruptions amid geopolitical tensions. The Dutch National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is actively responding by monitoring threats, advising potential targets, and coordinating with international partners to mitigate risks and maintain cyber resilience.
