Europol Shuts Down Major Phishing Scheme Targeting Mobile Phone Credentials


Europol dismantled a global phishing network, iServer, used to unlock stolen phones, leading to 17 arrests and the seizure of 921 items. Additionally, Europol and the Australian Federal Police shut down the Ghost encrypted communication network used for organized crime, resulting in 51 arrests. Germany also seized 47 cryptocurrency exchanges linked to money laundering, while the U.S. charged two individuals in a $230 million cryptocurrency scam.
